How are the Personalized Tide Posters created?

You tell us a date and location, and we'll generate the exact tide, weather, and moon phase of that epic day and design it into a one-of-a-kind personalized poster.

How does this work?

Let us know details of your special moment (date, location, short title)We generate the exact tide, weather, and moon phase for your chosen date, and send you a digital proof for you to review.

Upon approval, we will send out your one-of-a-kind artwork to production, where it will be printed, framed (if applicable), and shipped out to you!

What is the poster like?

Our artwork is printed on museum quality, thick and durable matte paper with GREENGUARD Gold certified ink.

What if I don't have a location with tides?

No problem! We can either have you choose your favorite beach or we can create a fictional tide chart using numbers that are meaningful to you or even completely random!

What is the paper quality?

We use archival quality paper for your posters. This means it's durable enough to last decades, and meets museum and library standards. Unless your home is a museum or library, the quality will exceed what you need in your home!

What sizes are available?

We currently have 8x10", 12x16", and 18x24" posters available.

What if I don't see the size I want?

If you would like a different size from the available options, please contact us and we can discuss custom size options.

Can I see how my Tide Map looks before it ships?

Yes! We will be emailng you a digital proof within 72 hours of order. Once approved, we will send it out for production where it will be printed, packed, and mailed to the address of your choice.

I made a mistake on my order! What do I do?

Contact us immediately and we'll sort it right out! The sooner the better, since once the order has been sent to fulfillment we cannot cancel it.

What is your return & exchange policy?

Refund & Cancellation Policy

We want all our customers to be happy! If you have any specific questions or have a case that does not fall within this policy, please contact us here.

Once an order has been printed and shipped, we cannot cancel it.

If your product gets damaged in the mail or during manufacturing, we will send you a replacement product or in some cases, a refund. Refunds are made on a case-by-case basis, however products that have been kept for longer than 21 days may not be returned.

Similarly, we are not responsible for orders that do not arrive on time for a specific occasion or holiday, products that are accidentally ordered or are now unwanted, or spelling errors made by the customer.

We strive to make our customers happy and we will make exceptions wherever possible to ensure a great customer experience when buying our product.

Return Policy

We do not accept returns, as each order is made to order. After the customer accepts the proof and confirms that all information is correct, it becomes the customer's responsibility to ensure accuracy. If the customer realizes they input incorrect information, they are responsible for a revision and reprint fee of $35 per poster, or $45-$65 per canvas depending on size.

Damaged Items: The last thing we want is for you to be stuck with a damaged item. If an order arrives damaged, please get in touch at info@saltatlas.co with a photo within a week's time! 

Refunds: Refunds are not applicable for made-to-order items.

Late or Missing Refunds: If you haven’t received a refund yet, please check your bank account. Contact your credit card company and bank if necessary. If you still have not received your refund, please contact us at info@saltatlas.co.

Sale Items: Only regular priced items may be refunded; sale items cannot be refunded.

Exchanges: We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, please send us an email at info@saltatlas.co 

Gifts: If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you. If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and he/she will find out about your return.

Shipping: You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund. Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary. If you are shipping an item over $75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.

  • Once the order was placed and received, we aim to deliver within 15-30 business days. We partner with multiple factories here in the United States as well as Europe and Mexico, making sure that we are well covered for order and fulfillment. At times, we can expect quicker delivery due to our proximity to customers. However, if a customer provides an incorrect delivery address during the ordering process, we won’t be able to guarantee a return if the error was due partly to the purchaser.
  • In the case where our local printing partners are not able to deliver the ordered merchandise for us and they are not able to fulfill their contractual obligations, we will inform the customer immediately and discuss replacement options. We want to support the best local printing partners for each order, as we have orders coming in from around the world. This means some factories may need some time to adapt if there is a surge of orders, but our goal is to grow with and support the local communities. 
  • Once the goods are shipped, the risk of goods that may be damaged or perished passes on to the buyer. Salt Atlas will not be liable for any damages caused by the shipping company. However if the product comes in damaged, please send photos to info@saltatlas.co to discuss replacement options if necessary.
  • Since some of the merchandise are designed and customized by the customer on saltatlas.co there is no right for refund if the design does not meet the customer's expectations after the proof has been approved. In such a case this order is not eligible for a return.
  • If the shipment information provided by the customer was incorrect at the time of order, the order is not eligible for a refund. We will work with our printing partners as quickly as we can to correct the shipment, however we cannot guarantee a reroute and the customer will be responsible for the cost of the replacement.
